June speaks in tongues both tender and tectonic. There is warmth rising. When I tuned into this month back in January I saw an image of fires on a hill, sacred gatherings at the edge of waking and dreaming — but also a tremble beneath the surface, a reminder that something within or around us is shifting. You may feel the weight of what you’ve been carrying, suddenly heavier in your hands. This isn’t collapse. It’s the body asking you to move differently. To adapt with grace. To place what’s too much down, not in shame, but in wisdom. Change can be so deeply disorienting, but the fires are lit to guide us, to stoke the hearth of our hearts and mirror the courage we need to move in new ways. No wonder the roses are getting involved and the foxes who walk the line of wild and domestic are showing us the way of harmony.

In her book Devotion Patti Smith describes of a row of trees as infinity symbols, sharing energy from above and below. This resonated so deeply with me on how this month feels. We are asked not to sit on the fence but align with the middle; the trunk - so that we can connect to the above and the below - of ourselves, our communities and the divine. The question really, is where might I stand so that I am in the best possible position to both root and shoot at this time, even if it means doing the hard work of replanting myself?
