The Fairy is the archetype of the elemental spirit of the earth. We see them in harmonious nature space, secret glades and clearings, in circles of stones or flowers, in play and music and enjoyment of being embodied. We feel their spirit of fun and laughter. We feel their ability to perceive the earth and all she needs deeply. The Fairy is a warrior for the earth. 

 

We might call upon the Fairy when we need some luck, when we have a big job to do which involves helping others, when we want to engage with spiritual gifts. We might call on the Fairy when we need to engage the liminal in the everyday, when we wish to connect more fully to the earth and to abundance. We might call on the Fairy to help us heal physically using plants or to remember who our ancestors are and were.

How to work with this archetype:

​

 Place them on your altar, this signals to the Fairies internally and externally that they are being called in. 

 

Make a commitment to them, to this space within you and to the experience of her outwardly, it's ok if you forget a day or a week. Just like when you meditate and thoughts come in – as soon as you notice them try to come back to stillness. If you fall off the wagon of your commitment, as soon as you notice; just hop right back in. 

 

Some commitment suggestions:

• Light a candle each day and call upon the Fairies

• Bring offerings each week for them on your altar, or at the bottom of your garden/ a natural spot 

• Sincerely call upon the fairies and recite a prayer you have written from your heart stating your intention

• Offer kindnesses or gratitude to the earth which does not require anything in return and doesn't deplete you 

• Recycle!

• Dance often and  reverently celebrate the seasonal celebrations relative to the land you are living on

 

Notice how Fairy archetypes appear in dreams and through synchronicities as you do this work, begin to spot patterns and allow your intuition to guide you, this is a powerful archetype to be working with.
